RAGDiabetes Booth and Breakout Session Draws a Full Crowd of RI Conference AttendeesThe Rotarian Action Group for Diabetes had a very successful Convention. Our booth in the Hall of Friendship was constantly busy and over 1000
Attendees learned of the worldwide diabetes epidemic from Rotarian Martin Silink, current President of the International Diabetes Federation; of Rotary programs providing diabetes related service worldwide from Rotarian Larry Deeb, past President of the American Diabetes Association; of the current program in the Caribbean of managed foot care for diabetics from Rotarian Martin Perry; and of the current status and objectives of the Rotarian Action Group for Diabetes (RAGDiabetes) from Rotarian Wayne Edwards. Comments from attendees indicated the session was very educational and increased their knowledge of the diabetes epidemic and the many opportunities of service through the RAGDiabetes. |
